Soundscapes are part of our lives, whether they’re natural or manmade.  We’re hoping to crowd-source some of our country’s most memorable sounds and hope you’ll join as a participant.

The American Soundscapes Project was created by Jim Metzner, a Fulbright Specialis in Media & Communication. Best known as the producer of the Pulse of the Planet radio series, Jim’s 40 year archive of recorded sound is part of the permanent collection of the Library of Congress.
